The Pale Garden biome has finally arrived in Minecraft Bedrock Edition with the 1.21.50 update. This mysterious new biome introduces a hauntingly beautiful landscape filled with pale oak trees, eyeblossoms, and the eerie creaking mob.
What's New
The Pale Garden Biome The Pale Garden is a rare forest variant that generates in the Overworld. Its signature pale oak trees create a foggy, ethereal atmosphere unlike anything else in Minecraft. The biome features:
- Pale Oak Trees: A new wood type with a bleached, ghostly appearance
- Eyeblossoms: Mysterious flowers that seem to watch players as they pass
- Pale Moss: A new decorative block that covers the forest floor
- Reduced ambient lighting: Creates a naturally spooky atmosphere
The Creaking Mob The Creaking is a hostile mob that only spawns in Pale Gardens. It has unique behavior patterns:
- Only moves when players aren't looking at it
- Makes distinctive creaking sounds
- Cannot be killed through normal means - players must find and destroy its heart
- The Creaking Heart block spawns the mob and must be destroyed to defeat it
Technical Changes This update also includes numerous bug fixes and performance improvements:
- Fixed chunk loading issues on Nintendo Switch
- Improved render distance on mobile devices
- Addressed multiplayer sync issues
- Various redstone behavior fixes for parity with Java Edition
